Portable Metal Hardness

Portable metal hardness testers that are based on the rebound principle are not suitable to measure very light parts of certain geometries. Therefore, the portable metal hardness tester Equostat is based on the static Rockwell measuring principle where the penetration depths under a defined preload are measured before and after application of a large force. These low-load penetration depth measurements are accurate, rapid and reproducible. The difference between the before and after penetration depths reflects the plastic deformation and, therefore, the portable metal hardness.

Equostat 3

The Equostat 3 is well-suited for the portable metal hardness test of light, thin-walled or tubular parts.
