A portable handheld top class retroreflectometer for all types of road and airport markings in one compact instrument

The Zehntner ZRM 6010 Retroreflectometer measures the night visibility RL of all types of road and airport markings. Its external beam technology additionally allows measuring under standard conditions of continuous wetting and conditions of rain using a rain simulator. 

This latest generation of retroreflectometers is ultrafast, taking RL measurements in about 1 second. The transflective luminous graphical display allows for excellent visibility under all lighting conditions, including bright sunlight.

The telescopic handle included in the standard delivery is ideal for both field and laboratory operations

Optional integrated high-resolution camera

The high-resolution camera takes top quality pictures of the measured road or airport markings – the built-in zoom allows for detailed inspection of the marking, so the embedding of the glass beads can be checked easily without the need to crouch down on the road with a magnifying glass.

In zoom mode, a true scale is displayed so that the size of the embedded glass beads can be determined.

The picture is stored together with the measuring value, so it can be used as a direct reference.

Of course the picture will also be downloaded to the free versatile mapping and data analysis software MappingTools.

MappingTools Data Analysis Software

MappingTools software for Zehntner retroreflectometers allows simple administration and analysis of road markings, airport markings, road studs, traffic signs and/or safety garments measurements. Results containing GPS coordinates can be displayed on a map in different colours using adjustable profiles and can also be exported to Google Earth™. Reports can be generated in PDF or XLS file formats.

Mapping Software Benefits

  • Recorded information on the measurements (like pictures, ambient condition, position indication etc.) are displayed.
  • The map can be saved as an image for use in inhouse reports.
  • Multi-language menu-guidance in English, Czech, French, Dutch, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Swedish and Thai.

The MappingTools software is able to store an infinite number of measurements.
